2021 is a special year for Takeru Amano, marking the 20th anniversary of his career as a painter. Twenty years ago, he held his first solo exhibition — not in Tokyo, but in Beijing. From June 9 to 20, we celebrate this artistic odyssey by immersing ourselves in another galaxy with an exhibition titled “2021: A Space Odyssey.”

For his third solo exhibition in Paris, Takeru defies the laws of gravity. If the Earth floats in space, so do his characters. Lemons, women, vases and cats unfold in weightlessness, within an infinite void. We are delighted to present these subjects from a new angle, where their posture shifts, revealing bolder details.

To celebrate this anniversary, Takeru Amano explores a new path, both bold and fascinating. He will unveil works on canvas as well as on paper. We will also present the first limited edition of screen prints, produced in Tokyo, available exclusively online. Opening: Wednesday, June 9, 6pm to 9pm.
