Blooming of a heritage

GROUP EXHIBITION 17 APRIL – 10 MAY 2025

"Heritage is a river — flowing through time, like pigment in water, in perpetual metamorphosis without ever being lost."

Sato Gallery is delighted to announce a new group exhibition: Blooming of a Heritage. This exhibition celebrates the theme of “heritage,” exploring its many facets through the works of ten contemporary Japanese artists. Like the blossoming of spring, each work reinterprets heritage — cultural, technical or philosophical — giving it new meaning and artistic expression.

Organised by Sato Gallery and co-curated with guest curator Yuki Gomez, this exhibition offers visitors an inspiring journey where tradition meets the vibrant energy and creativity of each artist.

The spring season, reflected through bold colours, luminous materials and renewed forms, runs through the exhibition as a guiding thread. Some artists embody heritage through generations of meticulous craftsmanship, while others reinterpret cultural motifs or explore universal concepts through a contemporary lens.

A wide range of media will be on display, including painting, ceramics and textile. For several artists, this marks their first presentation in Paris, offering a unique and captivating discovery of the Japanese art scene.
