Born on 1 May 1984 in Matsuyama-shi, Ehime Prefecture, Japan, Ichi began at the age of six to cut out and paste the things he admired in magazines, finding comfort in the process. Little by little he built a world understood by Ichi alone.

He threw himself entirely into constructing that universe, each finished work bringing a fresh wave of excitement and joy. He has never stopped cutting and pasting since.

His path took him to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Paris, where he began by selling postcards on the street before realising his dream of exhibiting at the Marriott Group Meridian Hotel in 2018.
