SOMEWHERE, IT'S STILL SUMMER

HIROSHI NAGAI 17 JULY – 9 AUGUST 2025

Sato Gallery is honoured to present the work of iconic Japanese artist Hiroshi Nagai on the occasion of his very first exhibition in France.

Known for his luminous skies, his tranquil coastlines and his eternal sunsets, Nagai captures the elusive beauty of summer like a dream that never fades. His work invites us into an idealised yet strangely familiar world, a sun-drenched and silent escape suspended between nostalgia and serenity.

Composed with cinematic precision and bathed in perfectly balanced, luminous colour, his scenes have become timeless icons of Japanese pop culture and of our collective visual memory.

The exhibition presents a selection of exclusive-edition prints, all produced in Japan, reflecting the artist’s rigour in composition, light and emotional stillness.

More than a season, summer here becomes a state of mind: vivid, distant and eternal. Somewhere, it’s still summer. Let these images take you there.
