Each year, Sato Gallery highlights the contemporary Japanese art scene through a selection of emerging and established artists known as "neo-urban" artists. These artists, with a free-spirited urban approach, develop their techniques in alternative spaces due to the strict constraints imposed on street art in Tokyo. This context gives rise to works with a unique style, an approach that is also becoming increasingly present in Europe.
This year, we are pleased to present iconic figures such as Takeru Amano and Excalibur, whose works have captivated the Parisian audience over several editions.
We also welcome a new Tokyo-based artist, YUFI, marking her first presentation at Urban Art Fair.
To further enrich this dialogue, we will also introduce for the first time two French-speaking artists, CLT and Debza Was Here, whose works reflect the profound influence that contemporary Japanese culture has on the international art scene.
Through this selection, Sato Gallery aims to illustrate how contemporary Japanese culture inspires and continuously reinvents itself worldwide.
