Gallery Sato announces the return to Paris of Takeru Amano with his brand-new exhibition titled "IMA," which means "now/the moment" in Japanese. The exhibition will take place from April 20 to May 12 in the recently inaugurated premises of Gallery Sato in Paris 3rd arrondissement. "IMA" not only serves as the title of the exhibition but also embodies a profound philosophy dear to the artist: living in the present moment.
In this exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to discover a series of artworks reflecting Takeru Amano's artistic diversity. Among the exhibited pieces is the Venus, an iconic figure of the artist. These captivating portraits offer a unique insight into Takeru Amano's artistic vision, revealing the depth of his interpretation of shapes and lines.
In addition to portraits, the exhibition will feature still lifes and landscapes, reinterpreted with Takeru Amano's distinctive artistic signature. Through these paintings, viewers will be transported into scenes of striking color, where the artist has, in his own way, captured the very essence of nature and life.
A particularly remarkable piece of the exhibition will be a Venus sculpture entirely made of wood, created as part of a special collaboration with the brand ASICS, demonstrating Amano's ability to transcend the boundaries between art and culture.
This exhibition also highlights the concept of "NEW ART," an artistic movement conceptualized by the artist himself. As a child of the dynamism of Tokyo, this movement is characterized by its elegant simplicity, powerful lines, vibrant color palettes, and a playful exploration of narratives that transcend the boundaries between classicism and modernity. Amano's works captivate the eye and soul, offering an unparalleled visual and emotional experience. From acrylic on canvas to wood and bronze sculptures, Amano harmoniously blends a variety of artistic techniques.
