In ancient times, the value was placed on food, then it was gold, and now it is placed on information. This painting uses rice, diamonds, and dragons to depict the changes in value that humanity has undergone in accordance with the theme of "Choyo Festival.” Choyo is the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, one of the five seasonal festivals. By depicting two chrysanthemums which is a flower that blooms in September, the work expresses the clash of energies between the old and the new, and the struggle between the two values of tradition and innovation. The mountain-like motifs on the top and bottom represent DNA and biorhythms, and the message that humanity must move forward in spite of change.1of 5
